With Ivan Andrei Ivanov HK Välk gets a KHL experienced player – Aleks Morozov joins HC Everest.
The leaders in the Estonian Meistriliiga strengthened in the fight for first place and obliged Andrej Ivanov of league club HC Everest.
The 37-year-old St. Petersburg-born Forward, who can also be a center, played for various teams in his hometown. In the season 2006-07 he moved to the highest Russian league to Neftekhimik and from 2008 this team played in the KHL. After five seasons Ivanov went to Avangard Omsk in 2011. After four seasons Ivanon worked for other teams in the KHL – Yugra, Lada, Kazan and Sochi. Overall, Ivanov completed 509 games in the KHL and scored 190 points (93G / 97A). Since this season, Ivanon played in the Meistriliiga at HC Everest and got in 10 games 7 points (6G / 6A) and demonstrated his scoring fame at the last in the league. HK Välk became aware of Ivanov and hired the striker as reinforcement for the offensive.
After the departure of Ivanov responded the leaders of Everest and bring with Aleks Morozov a young storm talent home. The 18-year-old started his career in Russia and later in the Polish Ice Hockey Academy of Krynica. In the last two years, Morozov has been called to the Estonian U18 and U20 national team, but completed both times only one game. In the current season, he moved from Poland to his homeland to HC Everest to continue to develop for higher task.
