28-year-old striker Koba Jass returns to his homeland after two years at HK Kurbads.
HK Kurbads, currently fourth in the Latvian Hockey League, brings the 28-year-old international back. Koba Jass has already worn the colors of the club two seasons ago and has also won the first national championship. This year, Jass was under contract with Kazakh champion Ust-Kamenogorsk Altay-Torpedo and played only seven games.
The physically strong attacker from Parnasson started his foreign carreer at the MsHK Zilina in Slovakia. Then he went to the Czech Republic to Jaromir Jagr-Club, Rytiri Kladno. There before to Bili Tygri Liberec. After one and a half seasons he went back to Slovakia to club of Zigmund Palffy, HK36 Skalica. Most recently, Jass was with the Slovak team HC Nové Zámky (17 games 2 + 1) and finished the season in the US at the Mississippi RiverKings (17 games 2 + 6) in the SPHL championship.
Jass is a longtime national player, has been to four world championships and the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. He wanted to play more and the desire of the attacker was fulfilled with the commitment at the HK Kurbads. The goal in the upcoming games will be to reach the play-offs and fight for the championship title.
Koba Jass will play at Kurbads with the number 51. His debut will be on Saturday at home against HK Lido.
