For Slovan this task was not easier because Syomin scored with the first shot on goal the 1-0 lead for Vityaz (1.). This early goal unsettled the hosts even more. Vityaz clearly controlled the game. Aaltonen fought on the gang the disc and plays on the free-standing Syomin. He did not hesitate, headed for goalie Stepanek and scored his second goal to make it 2-0 (7.). Another setback for Slovan and Stepanek made room for Ciliak. A tentative attack with a final shot from Taffe was no problem for Ortio. It was a different score with a nice combination – Kokarev on Shvets-Rogovoi, who with a backhand pass to Shinkevich, who drew and put it 3-0 (14.) – Ciliak was defeated for the first time. Only a power play at the end of the third allowed Slovan good chances but both Rau and Gelinas fail Ortio.

The hosts tried to get in the final third again. The first opportunity was Vityaz – Rendulic warped his shot just past the gate. Slovan now more playful, but mostly too wild – Lamper forgives his chance as well as Sersen. The hosts were now the better team and were always dangerous before the gate – but Ortio kept what it gave to stop. After a shot from Sukel, the puck was briefly alone in front of the line, but here could Ortio just prevent the hit, After a push by Janosik his pass in front of the goal, unfortunately, no suitable customer. Vityaz were only a few in the attack – after a pass from Komarov Vyzglazov was suddenly alone in front of Ciliak, but the Sĺovan goalkeeper kept his nerve and prevented the hit. Two minutes before the end coach Orszagh Ciliak took off the ice. Slovan prevailed in the third of Vityaz for the time being. Rau forgives a good opportunity and Vityaz came to a counterattack. Chernov tried a shot at the empty goal, but the puck goes to the bar. With this defeat Slovan last and Vityaz remains on the coveted play-off places.
