KHL: Vityaz celebrates late victory again

Vityaz Podolsk won 3-2 in overtime thanks to a curious Artyom Shvets-Rogovoy goal at Avangard – Tractor wins 1-0 at Ak Bars and Spartak wins against Neftekhimik 3-2 in the SO.

Vityaz Podolsk showed great will to win in today’s away match at Avangard Omsk. Podolsk was able to take the lead twice. First, a powerplay goal by Sergei Shumakov in the 14th minute by Denis Kokarev just 34 seconds before the first siren were outnumbered. Michal Repik made his first goal for his new club Vityaz in the 35th minute with his powerplay goal. Avangard Omsk was too dominating in the third leg and Viktor Stålberg also equalized in the 58th minute. However, the overtime lasted only 19 seconds, as Artyom hit Shvets-Rogovoy with a bit of luck from close range.
