The 27-year-old striker moves from Dresden to Saryarka Karanga in the VHL
Lithuanian international Tadas Kumeliauskas, the younger of the Kumeliauskas brothers, will move to the Russian VHL with Saryarka Karanga for the IIHF World Championship. Kumeliauskas was last engaged in the DEL2 at Dresdner Eislöwen.
His first stages in his career were in Lithuania Energija Elektrenai and Liepaja. From Lithuania, he was drawn to SKA-Neva St. Petersburg for the second season in Russia’s second league. Then Kumeliauskas moved to Kazakhstan, where he was under contract for three seasons with Arystan Temirtau. From Kazakhstan it went into the highest Finnish league to TPS where he was active for three years. Kumeliaukas was not active in the 2016/17 season. Only the Dresdner Eislöwen brought him back to ice hockey again.
His career in the Lithuanian national started Kumeliauskas in the U18 on the U20 in the A-Team. During the rise of the Lithuanian team of the IIHF World Championship from the Div IB to the Div IA he was involved with 1 goal and 5 Assist.
